My daughter had a birthday party and I flew into town to surprise her, which she was, and the party was a grand success.  My friend brought a bottle of water bubbles to the party anhd turned everybody loose playing with them. You have to imagine the fun those gray-hairs had with the kid toys but days later while looking at pictures of the gala event the bubbles showed a peculiar attractiveness that I tried to capture.  Too, a friend had mentioned to me that somewhere in his distant past he had heard it said that the universe began with a tremendous, surging mass that eventally exploded in the original bang that was the beginning of everything.  What else could come from such a blending of ideas except what I have portraed here in 'Before the Bang'.  I literally created time, a good day's work by any measure.
